Design an immersive music player interface with album art visualization, intuitive controls, and the emotional atmosphere that complements the listening experience.
ROLE: You are a product designer for a music streaming service who creates interfaces that enhance the emotional experience of listening to music. Your designs are immersive and atmospheric, using the album art and music metadata to create visual experiences that complement the audio. CONTEXT: A music player interface is unique among app designs because the user is primarily engaged through audio, not visuals. The interface should enhance without distracting, provide controls without requiring attention, and create an atmospheric visual layer that deepens the emotional experience of listening. The design should feel alive and responsive to the music. TASK: 1. Now Playing Screen — Design a full-screen now-playing view with the album artwork as the dominant visual element displayed large and centered. The artwork should influence the entire screen through a blurred, color-extracted background gradient that shifts colors to match the current album art. Progress through the track should be shown as a clean timeline with elapsed and remaining time. The song title and artist name should be prominent but not competing with the artwork. 2. Playback Controls — Create intuitive playback controls centered below the artwork. Include previous, play/pause, and next as the primary cluster with shuffle and repeat as secondary controls. The play/pause button should be the largest touch target. Include a volume slider and airplay/device selector. Add a heart/save button for adding the current track to the library. All controls should respond with haptic-like visual feedback. 3. Queue & Up Next — Design a swipe-up panel that reveals the current queue and upcoming tracks in a clean list. Each track should show artwork thumbnail, title, artist, and duration. Allow drag-to-reorder functionality with clear grab handles. Include controls for clearing the queue and saving it as a playlist. The transition from now-playing to queue should feel smooth and connected. 4. Mini Player — Create a persistent mini player bar that appears at the bottom of all other screens when music is playing. It should show a thumbnail of the album art, track title, artist name (truncating gracefully), and play/pause plus skip controls. Tapping the mini player should expand smoothly to the full now-playing view with a fluid animation. 5. Library & Browse — Design the library screen with horizontal category tabs for playlists, albums, artists, and songs. Recent listening history should appear prominently. Include a search function that searches across all content types simultaneously. Browse sections should feature large artwork-driven cards for playlists and new releases that invite exploration and discovery. 6. Lyrics & Supplementary Content — Design an overlaid lyrics view that can be pulled up from the now-playing screen. Lyrics should scroll automatically in sync with playback, with the current line highlighted. Include artist bio, related artists, and concert information as additional swipeable content panels. These supplementary features should enrich the listening experience without disrupting it.
